Donate: Food Program

In 2010 AWASA and the Community Food Bank met to develop a
collaboration to distribute food to the Southern Arizona pet community donated
by Fry’s, other stores and anonymous manufacturers through Feeding
America.

Our first delivery of 7000 pounds of food and litter arrived
in March 2010 and was distributed to 15 non profits from Tucson and Southern
Arizona for distribution to the animals.
Already this year we have had two more shipments that we have distributed to those in need.

AWASA would like to thank the community Food
Bank, Feeding America , Ferguson Plumbing who provides the storage space, the equipment and staff to
move the food and the businesses donating the pet food. We are proud to be
an affiliate agency of the Community Food Bank.and are very grateful to all
our partners and volunteers who work on this vital program.
